For our second project, students studied the concept of Abstract art, looking at such artists as Wassily Kandinsky and Pablo Picasso. They then learned about the art elements of emphasis, variety and unity and were required to make their own unique work of art using these elements and 2-3 images of their choosing, while drawing inspiration from Kandinsky and Picasso.
